In the fall of 2000, I began work on my own solo voice and piano CD. After much hard work with recording engineer Rob Harari in HarariVille studio in January 2001, I finally finished the vocal and piano mixing. I had recorded all the accompaniments for my CD on disk and took them into the studio with me to be mixed in the computer after which I had recorded the vocals. Fifteen tracks and a total of nineteen songs later, I have my first solo CD, released June 2001. Inside each CD jacket is a short story of my background and why I chose the songs I sing and play on this recording. Not only do I have a strong sense of music in my soul, but I am so happy to credit my mother, Esther June Miller, my sister, Vickie Jayne Miller and my deceased father, Robert Henry Miller for all their encouragement and help in my music career. I am also so grateful to my teachers Janet Alcorn and Chloe Owen, among others, for their incredible strength, guidance and belief in me. Finally I am also indebted to my dear friend, Doris Totaro, for her undying faith in and support to me, my students who have continued to help me learn even more and my Nichiren Buddhist faith, as a member of the Soka Gakkai International guided by International President Daisaku Ikeda, which has helped me grow and mature in my life and realize the greatest need is to always help others, as well as myself, become happy! I hope you will also enjoy clicking the audio clip, “I Have a Dream,” written by two Buddhist friends, Wayne Green and Brian Potter. Included in the CD are:
